Born on February 27th, 1930 in Stinnett, Kentucky where he spent his childhood years and met his future wife. In 1951 he followed the love of his life to Cincinnati where they soon married and began their family. He provided for his family working as a welder at Kirk & Blum Manufacturing, where he was employed for over 40 years. Later in life Clayborn decided to return to his childhood home in Stinnett to build a home. Clayborn single handedly constructed a modest yet perfect home for his family to visit and enjoy. Clayborn and Zula later returned to Norwood, Ohio to be closer to their adult children, family and friends.
His happiest days were when his family came to visit. When he was able to let loose, speak his mind, and be himself. Clayborn loved to sing, dance and play the guitar to bluegrass, country or gospel music. He adored all of his grandchildren, who affectionately call him "Papa". He was incredibly proud of the tight knit family he and Zula had built. Clayborn was a determined, loving, stubborn, hardworking, one-of-a-kind man. He has left a lasting impression on all who were lucky enough to know him. His voice, laugh, and presence will forever be missed by his family and friends.

Inez J. Simpson
Inez Jean Simpson, aged 77, died peacefully on February 19, 2018 at Methodist Dallas hospital, after a quick decline from a chronic health condition. Inez was born July 28, 1940 in Walton, Kentucky in the home of her grandmother, Letha Jane Penick “Mom”, the daughter of Hester S. Simpson and William R. Simpson. She was proud to call Walker “Pat”terson Holt her father.
Inez thoroughly enjoyed helping and taking care of others. She had numerous family in her home over the years. Inez took care of her uncle, Herman Penick, until his passing. She welcomed the children and their families of Edward Sweet while they were married. She cared for her mother, Hester, for many years until her passing. Inez opened her home to a foreign exchange camp counselor, Rajeev Pradhan who became like a son to her. She volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels in Norwood, Ohio. She also helped other women and their children in many ways by being a friend, providing food, clothes, toys and other necessities.
Inez shared many fond stories of childhood growing up on the farm with her brothers and of her friend, Sally Jo, in Kentucky. She moved to Norwood, Ohio in her teen years and graduated from Norwood High School in 1958. She began working as an apprentice at the Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company (now Duke Energy), with much thanks to her Uncle Ernie, at age 18 until she retired as a legal secretary after 32 years of service. She received her Associates Degree in Business (Secretary) from the University of Cincinnati in 1977. She was the first in her immediate family to attend college and receive a degree.
In 1972, Inez gave birth to her daughter, Lisa, of which was the one constant in her life. Her one true love was Edward Sweet, whom was called home several years ago, and will lie next to her at Hill Crest cemetery.
Inez loved her church and was a member of Ashland Avenue Baptist, of which she attended for many years. She also enjoyed remodeling homes, of which she proudly accomplished in her homes on Spencer Avenue and Ida Avenue in Norwood, Ohio. She loved to travel. She absolutely loved to dance. The most important thing in the world to her was her family and friends.
Inez is preceded in death by her mother, Hester Susan Simpson Holt and father, Walker Patterson Holt; her sister Letha Joyce Simpson; and two of her brothers, Robert Simpson and Gerald Simpson.

Kevin M. Zins
Kevin Michael Zins - passed away on April 2, 2017, after a courageous and stoic battle with cancer for a year and a half. The world lost a devoted father, a loving husband, a protective brother, a considerate son, a kind-hearted uncle, nephew and cousin, an accomplished professional, a driven soccer player and coach, a mischievous jokester, a loyal friend.
Kevin was born on September 9, 1967. He graduated from Forest Park High School and Bowling Green State University, where he studied accounting. As a CPA, Kevin achieved notable success at several accounting firms in Cincinnati, since 2002 as a tax partner at Grant Thornton. Those who knew and loved Kevin will remember how well his profession fit his personality. He was a planner, an organizer, and a stickler for details.
We will also remember Kevin on the soccer field. Kevin played soccer all of his life. In addition, he coached for many years for the Cincinnati United Soccer Club. He was also a diehard fan of the Indian Hill High School men’s soccer program.
Perhaps most of all, we will remember and cherish Kevin’s lightheartedness and his love for life. We will miss his standing-room-only Superbowl parties. We will miss his egging us on from one ride to the next during Kings Island outings. We will miss his quirky taste in TV shows and movies. We will miss the twinkle in his eye when he tells us another silly joke, plays another trick on us, and helps us remember to appreciate and enjoy the brief time we have together on this earth.
Kevin is survived by his wife Traci (Welage), sons Jared, Luke and Ethan, parents Pete and Kathy, sisters Karen Carlin and Steph Shroyer, and brother David. He is also survived by nieces Blair, Sami, Kayley and Chloe, nephews Brett, Cam, Spencer, Sumner, Casey and Jack, numerous in-laws including Dave Carlin, Stu Shroyer, Jon Welage, Brian Welage and Lori Dent, many devoted aunts, uncles and cousins, and countless dear friends.
Services to commemorate Kevin’s life will be held on Friday, April 7, at the Community of the Good Shepherd, 8815 East Kemper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45249. A visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, with a funeral mass immediately to follow.
